Pay Less for Health Insurance

Programs like Medicaid, Essential Plan, and Child Health Plus offer free or very low cost insurance. You can get financial help to purchase private health insurance on the NY State of Health Marketplace, if you qualify.

How to Apply

• Apply on the NY State of Health Marketplace to enroll in your or your entire family in private health insurance, Medicaid, Essential Plan, or Child Health Plus health insurance with one application.
• Apply for Medicaid with NYC Human Resources Administration if you are living with a disability and/or blindness, you are 65 and older, or you are a former foster youth under age 26.
• You can also apply directly with a health insurance plan. Visit a plan's website or call the plan to enroll. If you enroll directly with a plan, you can't get financial assistance from the NY State of Health Marketplace.
