On August 7, 2009, the New York City Department of City Planning, on behalf of the City Planning Commission as lead agency, issued a Notice of Completion for a Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for the 161st Street/ River Avenue Rezoning.
A public hearing on the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) was held on March 27, 2009. Comments were accepted at the hearing and for ten days following the hearing until April 6, 2009. The FEIS incorporates responses to the public comments received on the DEIS and additional analysis conducted subsequent to the completion of the DEIS.
