Procedure for Filing Block Party Permit
Street Activity Permit applications for a block party are no longer available at the Community Board 9 District Office.
Applications can be submitted online and/or at the NYC Street Activity Permit Office (SAPO) at 100 Gold Street, 2nd FL, New York, NY 10038.
Applications must be filed in at least 90 days prior to the event. In order for your application to be approved by the Board, you must be 18-years-old (or older) and submit a petition to the CB9 District Office. The petition must include names, addresses, and signatures by 75% of the residents on the affected block. If you plan on having amplified sound, you must apply for a Sound Permit at the 102nd Police Precinct. Please visit the SAPO website at:
