As one of Metropolitan’s Centers of Excellence, Geriatrics is one of the hospital’s clinical areas selected for focused development and expansion of services. The primary focus of our Geriatrics Services is to help the older population stay active and healthy by providing information on disease prevention, as well as offering treatment for acute and chronic illnesses. Aging is a natural part of life that can be full of energy, support and good health. We want everyone in our community, regardless of their age, to stay active, to stay informed and to stay healthy. |

To be eligible for our Geriatric Outpatient Center, patients must be at least 65 years old and experiencing dementia, delirium, falls, incontinence, dizziness, polypharmacy or frailty. Patients may also be referred from primary care for a Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment. |
