Priority1 – Services for Veterans and Their Spouses
We're committed to connecting New York City veterans to stable, meaningful employment. If you have served at least one day in the active military, naval, or air service, including the Reserves and National Guard, you and your spouse are eligible for priority of service at all of our Workforce1 Career Centers.
Certain centers have dedicated Veteran Specialists, who are veterans themselves, that are available to help you:
- Connect to employers committed to hiring veterans
- Learn about training, benefits, and other support services
- Translate military experience into skills for civilian jobs
- Connect to other organizations for resources beyond employment
Additional resources are available through the NYC Department of Veterans' Services, visit nyc.gov/vetjobs to find employment, professional mentorship, and resources for veterans to advance their careers.
