Anti-Ageism Movement: It Starts with Education!

Anti-Ageism Movement: Building Community through NY Stories

  • Develop a network for community leadership, problem solving and support that is grounded in multigenerational work and understanding.
  • An intergenerational program with 100 participants across 13 co-located NYC Housing Authority (NYCHA) sites that house a NYC Department of Youth and Community Development Cornerstone program and an older adult center (OAC).
  • Participants use storytelling to build community connections across generations.
  • Culminate in a collective celebration with presentations and reflections on the shared intergenerational stories and accomplishments.
  • Dismantle stereotypes through intergenerational engagement and relationship building.
