Onadia Class Action 

The City of New York has settled a class action lawsuit that provides monetary damages to individuals who were detained by the New York City Department of Correction beyond their original scheduled release date based on a detainer request from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”), in the period between April 1, 1997 and December 21, 2012.
