Refrigerant Recovery

All manufacturers of refrigerant-containing appliances must register with DSNY.

After registering with us, a manufacturer can elect to enact its own plan or become part of a stewardship organization (made up of multiple manufacturers) to remove refrigerants from its own appliances.

Manufacturer Registration

If you are a manufacturer of refrigerant-containing appliances, you must submit a Refrigerant Recovery Stewardship Plan Company Profile Form.

If you are a stewardship organization of manufacturers of refrigerant-containing appliances, you must submit a Refrigerant Recovery Stewardship Plan Stewardship Organization Profile Form.

NOTE: If you are a manufacturer submitting as part of a stewardship organization, you will need to submit a Company Profile form, NOT a Stewardship Organization Profile form.

Annual Reporting

Manufacturers that run their own refrigerant recovery programs or are participating in program outside of DSNY must report annually on the number of appliances and total tonnage serviced and the volume of refrigerants recovered.
