At DSNY, we care about our employees — they are the most valuable part of this organization.
Many people experience personal difficulties — either regularly or occasionally. Sometimes, despite their best efforts to handle these difficulties on their own, their problems may persist or get worse.
Our Employee Assistance Unit (EAU) can help you identify problems early and provide quick access to treatment services. Addressing and resolving your problems can have a huge impact on both your home and work life.
EAU is a free, voluntary, confidential counseling and referral service designed to help employees and their loved ones when experiencing personal problems.
Our Licensed Social Workers provide support to help you with:
Confidentiality is highly respected at the EAU. No information concerning the nature of the problem or specific treatment plan is revealed without client permission. Voluntary EAU involvement will not jeopardize your opportunities for promotion.
Any employee (active or retired) or family member may reach out to us without a referral.
If outside treatment resources are needed, some of the costs may be covered by your health insurance. We will help you find an appropriate resource for your needs, within your budget.
