The Child Center of NY after school program engages middle school youth Monday-Friday during the hours of 3 pm - 6 pm. Youth are connected to programming that shares a meaningful connection to the school day, ensuring that children continue to learn after the school bell rings. Activities are subject to change at the beginning of each semester (September, February, and summer) based on youth interest and community needs. After school program will maintain a mix of homework help and a menu of enrichment activities in the areas of literacy, STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), visual arts, performing arts, sports, health and nutrition, leadership, and community service. At the conclusion of each program semester, a parent/community commemoration will take place to showcase program achievements.
CCNY licensed social program to provide weekly individual and group therapy sessions to participants. Examples of treatment services include anxiety, depression, conflict resolution, and anger management.
