The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) is the City's lead agency for youth employment programs. DYCD is committed to expanding opportunities for New York City's young people. Our employment programs help youth between the ages of 14 and 24 gain work experience and further their education.

Provides NYC youth between the ages of 14 and 24 with paid summer employment for up to six weeks.

Advance & Earn Program
A new training and employment program for youth between the ages of 16-24. Advance & Earn will help further your career through comprehensive High School Equivalency (HSE) test preparation, employer-recognized trainings, credentials and certifications, and paid internships.

WLG Employment Program
Work, Learn & Grow offers NYC youth between the ages of 16 and 20 a paid 22-week-long opportunity to strengthen their work-readiness skills, explore postsecondary education and careers, and potentially earn college credit.
