Our Food Forward NYC report highlights our commitments to ensuring that all New Yorkers have mulitple ways to access food and that the food systems that feed New Yorkers are modern, sustainable, and resilient. In 2018, New York City became the first city in the world to directly report to the United Nations on local progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals. New York City continues to conduct these Voluntary Local Reviews (VLR) of our progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals. You can read more about the most recent VLR here
