Local Law 174 - Equity Assessments

Enacted in 2017, Local Law 174 requires relevant City agencies to complete equity assessments to identify policies and practices that may be implemented to address disparate outcomes on the basis of, at a minimum, gender, race, income and sexual orientation, and to create equity action plans to address disparate outcomes the agencies identified. Every two years the agencies must report to the Speaker of City Council and the Mayor on efforts they have undertaken to implement their equity action plans, and make these reports publicly available online.
