Equity NYC, which includes what was the Social Indicators and Equity Report, and five Citywide Equity Metrics, is an interactive website that reports the status of racial and social equity in New York City and the City’s work to address disparities. It’s new digital format allows users to better interact with the data, allow for us to more easily update and share it, and will hopefully drive more action to address inequities.
The first Social Indicators Report, developed by the NYC Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity, was published in 2016 and was updated in 2018 and in 2019. Data from these reports are available on Equity NYC, however the context and programs and policies have continued to evolve over time.

In 2016 the Center for Innovation through Data Intelligence (CIDI) released the Disparity Report, on racial disparities between young men in Education, Economic Security and Mobility, Health and Wellbeing, and Community and Personal Safety.
