Update Contact Information

Having the correct contact information on file with the Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) ensures that you do not miss any important industry notifications. Take some time to make sure that your email address on file is accurate.

If you have multiple TLC licenses, each of them must be updated individually.

New Applicants: Drivers and Vehicle Owners

All new Driver and Vehicle applicants can update their contact information via email. Please submit your request to licensingi@tlc.nyc.gov  and include the following:

  • Application number
  • Copy of a valid Government Identification
  • Correct telephone number
  • Correct e-mail address
  • Correct premises and mailing addresses

Licensed Drivers; For-Hire Vehicle (FHV) Licensees; Street Hail Livery (SHL) Owners:

Current TLC licensees can update their contact information online by following these steps:

1.  Navigate to the LARS  system to make changes
2.  Select “Update Info” option in LARS
3.  Select one of the following License types:

  • Drivers
  • Vehicle
  • SHL Permit holder

*NOTE: Each license must be updated individually

4. To access the account, use the information listed below:

  • Your current TLC-issued license number

(Driver license or FHV decal number or SHL permit number)

  • The license expiration date
  • Employer Identification Number (EIN) or Social Security Number (SSN) associated with your license.

5. Update and save your contact information

Medallion Owners

To update contact information on the medallion, email the following at operationsm@tlc.nyc.gov:

  1. Completed “Medallion Owner Change of Address Form
  2. Copy of valid government issued photo ID
