Known Issues

The known issues below are currently under investigation. Visit Help & Support to learn how to get help with NYC.ID integration.

  1. Facebook—When prompted to grant the City of New York access to a user's public profile and email address, removing the email address before clicking the Continue button may display an error message.
  2. Link Accounts—When prompted to link a social account to a NYC Employee account, the user will not see an icon representing the NYC Employees IdP. When working correctly, the user would not see the Link Accounts page.
  3. Link Accounts—A user is able to link a NYC Employee account to a social account. This should not be allowed. As a workaround, an application may use the Search Web Services to determine if a user is a NYC Employee without a linked account.
  4. Logout—When invoking a SAML Single Logout, a user will not be logged out of the NYC Employees IdP. To log the user out of the NYC Employees IdP, invoke an IdP logout.
  5. Internationalization—A user's locale may spontaneously change to Ukranian.
  6. Apple—The NYC.gov Logo does not appear on the Apple ID Login page.
