C.B.13’s population is large and diverse…its young and aging residents must receive the best in services. Here, the Committee deals with health issues, with the role of Coney Island Hospital and its outreach facilities, and with the large numbers of senior residences and medical centers. The needs of the communities involve a wide range of needs – unemployment and retirement matters, mental health, rehabilitation, the omnipresent threats of drugs, of an HIV population, of domestic family problems, of the strengthening of information and service to those in need.
